My Approach to Postpartum Support

My personal experience during postpartum is what lead me to want to become a postpartum doula. Like so many others, I went into pregnancy with very little knowledge and childbirth and the postpartum phase. After having my daughter, I quickly discovered the lack of understanding and support mothers receive during the 4th trimester (first three months after birth). After becoming a postpartum doula, I realized this was a big piece of what I needed after having my daughter. Now I am able to fill that void for mothers like you.

I believe mothers deserve compassionate care and this can be achieved by mothering the mother. New parents and parents who have been around the block a few times need guidance and support as they navigate their new normal. Postpartum support is essential as you recover from birth, find your rhythm and shift into your new dynamic.

I understand that every home is different, and I maintain an open mind in order to provide the support you and your family need based on your specific situation. I am eager to serve all types of families. As a military veteran, I can also offer a unique and compassionate understanding of the military family experience. By the time I leave, you will feel empowered to be an amazing parent and will feel much more confident.
