Hi, I’m Rebecca McGhee and I am excited to share my yoga and mindfulness journey!! In November 2024, I received my certification for 200-hour certified yoga teacher, SEL (Social and Emotional Learning) facilitator through Breathe for Change. As an elementary school teacher with a heart for community and connection, I felt I needed more tools to help support those around me.
Over the years, I’ve developed a personal meditation and mindfulness practice that has deeply supported my own growth and well-being. Experiencing the benefits firsthand inspired me to learn more and share this knowledge with others. Hoping to help those around me to create more moments of calm, clarity, and connection in their daily lives. During the Breathe for Change program, I began to see my personal growth in opening my mindfulness practice to
include yoga.
With a passion for supporting others on their journey inward, I blend the tools of mindfulness, movement, and emotional learning to help both kids and adults feel more grounded and empowered. During the previous school year, I led a mindfulness course for grades 3–5 and facilitated restorative yoga sessions for teachers.
Whether I’m in the classroom or on the mat, my goal is to create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow. I believe true connection starts within and when we nurture that, it ripples outward into our families, classrooms, and communities.
