Yoga is a personal and integrative practice of connecting to one’s body and mind through breath and movement. Crystal offers private sessions in an inviting, calming, and cozy space. I began my yoga journey in my twenties, and in 2018 I experienced a life-changing Women’s Wellness retreat in Cape May, NJ.   It was there that I met like-minded people and began to feel that I connected with my people, my tribe.  The following year me and several women I met in Cape May attended a Yoga & Wellness Retreat in Costa Rica.  This experience left an indelible mark on my life and my soul. Surrounded by the lush jungles and beautiful beaches of Costa Rica, I learned more about yoga, Reiki and other holistic healing modalities which nurtured my whole Self.  I found the yogic practices healing to my body, mind, and spirit.  The COVID-19 pandemic offered an opportunity for deep self-reflection, and it was during this time that I decided to become a yoga teacher.  I completed my yoga teacher training (YTT) through My Vinyasa Practice in October 2020.


Becoming a yoga teacher felt like a natural transition for me, given my educational and professional background.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with Concentration in Social Welfare and a Minor in Women’s Studies, and a Master of Science in Administration of Justice.  I have over 20 years of experience in providing trauma-informed care to diverse populations, including survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), sexual violence, victims of crime and their families and people living with HIV/AIDS.  After the unexpected death of my mother in 2021, I decided to focus my attention on sharing yoga and holistic healing with the community. 


I pride myself on being a deeply attentive listener who can effortlessly make connections about what you may need based on organic conversation.  I believe in nourishing the body by creating a safe space to slow down, truly rest and go inward. I understand that life can be busy and pull you in many different directions which often causes a disconnect from your body, mind and spirit. Therefore, I am passionate about fostering an environment dedicated to prioritizing slowing down and reconnecting through movement and breath.  I operate from a body positive perspective and believe there is no “perfect” or “right way” to practice. I look forward to being a part of your healing journey.

Crystal focuses on a gentle, restorative approach, which includes stretching, holding poses longer in order to go inward + deepen connection to your body + breath with the utilization of props (including bolsters, blocks, + blankets). Her approach to private yoga is to incorporate a variety of holistic modalities in order to provide a relaxing environment that fosters healing.  A session with Crystal may include breath work, guided meditation + visualization, Reiki + and the utilization of a meditation app to further assist you with connecting to your body + breath through mindfulness techniques.  Crystal understands that life can be hectic + filled with myriad emotions + obligations that disconnect us from taking care of ourselves, therefore each session with her is an opportunity to be cared for and supported.
